Invobis is built for freelancers and small businesses invoicing from Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia. Onboarding asks where you invoice from and sets the tax fields, exemption wording and numbering rules for that country.
If your country is not on the list yet, tell us. We add markets one at a time so each one is done properly.
Invobis is an iPhone app for iOS 18 and later. Your clients never need the app: every invoice can be opened as a link in any browser, or sent as a PDF.
No. You can create, number and send invoices without signing in to anything. Sign in with Apple is optional and exists for one reason: a hosted invoice has to belong to you before a client can pay it online.
Yes. New subscribers get 7 days free on either plan, and during the trial the app is the full product with nothing gated. Apple decides who is eligible for the introductory offer, so if you have used it before the paywall will not promise another free week.
Invoices & sending
Three ways, all from the invoice itself. Publish it as a hosted link your client opens in any browser. Export a PDF for email, records or the tax folder. Or send an email through Invobis, which goes out in your name with your address as the reply-to.
The share sheet also works with your own Mail or Gmail account. Those messages never pass through our mail server.
Every invoice tracks its own journey: draft, sent, viewed, paid. When a client opens the hosted link, the invoice moves to viewed and you see it in the list. We record that a page was opened and the browser it was opened with, not an IP address, and the page tells your client so.
You can, but issued invoices can be locked so a number that has already gone out is not silently rewritten. For a correction that has to stay auditable, issue a credit note against the original and then a fresh invoice. That is what a tax office expects to see.
Yes. Estimates share the same hosted page, so a client can accept or decline from the link. An accepted estimate turns into an invoice with one tap. Credit notes exist so corrections stay traceable rather than overwritten.
A recurring series copies an existing invoice into a new draft on a schedule. Drafts are never mailed or published on their own: you still send each one. Catch-up is capped, so a year of not opening the app does not empty itself into a client’s inbox.
Yes. Revoke the link from the invoice and the hosted page stops working immediately. Anyone with the link can read the page until then, so treat it like any document you would hand over.
Getting paid
Yes, by card, through Stripe. Connect your own Stripe account in the app and a Pay button appears on every hosted invoice. Charges are created on your Stripe account and the money goes to you. Invobis never holds, delays or freezes client funds, and Stripe’s fees and identity checks apply to you directly.
Online payment needs Sign in with Apple, so that the hosted invoice is provably yours.
No. The link opens in a browser, the amount is at the top, and paying takes one tap. No login, no download, no account.
A card payment through Stripe marks it paid on its own. For bank transfers and cash, record the payment on the invoice yourself. Partial payments are fine; the invoice shows what is still outstanding.
It floats to the top of your list, and Invobis offers a pre-written reminder you can send with one tap. The tone is polite on purpose: firm enough to work, warm enough to keep the client.
Subscription & billing
Invobis Pro is $12.99 per month or $99.99 per year in the United States. Prices in other countries are set by the App Store in your local currency, and the confirmation sheet Apple shows is always the price that counts.
During signup, anyone who picks the monthly plan is offered the yearly plan once at $69.99 per year. It keeps that price for as long as the subscription runs.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Invobis. You can also do it on the web at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge.
Apple is the merchant for every App Store purchase, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue an App Store refund ourselves, but if something went wrong in the app, write to us as well so we can fix it.
Install Invobis, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you subscribed with, and tap Restore Purchases on the paywall. Your invoices come back with your iCloud backup if it was on.
Nothing happens to them. Your data stays on your device and already-sent links keep working. The paywall simply returns the next time you open the app, and subscribing again picks up where you left off.
Account & data
On your iPhone. Invoices, clients, payments, your logo and signature all live in a local database. Data only leaves the device when you act: turning on iCloud backup, publishing a link, sending an email, signing in, or subscribing. The Privacy Policy lists every one of those paths.
Turn on iCloud backup in the app. Your documents are then included in your iCloud backup and restore to a new iPhone with everything else. Without it, your invoices exist only on the device they were made on.
In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in, every hosted document and PDF, view events and the Stripe connection, and takes all published links offline. You can also ask us by email at hello@invobis.com.
Deleting the account does not cancel Apple billing. Cancel the subscription separately as described above.
No. We measure how the app itself is used, such as which onboarding step was reached or whether an invoice was sent, so we know what to fix. That measurement never includes amounts, client names or line items, and we run no ads.
Tax & country rules
The right tax fields, the exemption wording and clean sequential numbering are set automatically for the country you invoice from. Those fields are assistance, not a filing or a legal opinion: you remain responsible for the amounts, rates and identifiers on each document, and Invobis is not an accountant or tax adviser.
Numbers are sequential and never reused. Deleting a sent invoice does not free its number; that is what keeps a series auditable. If you are moving from another tool, set the starting number once so the sequence continues.
Every invoice, estimate and credit note exports as a PDF from the same data the link shows, so the two never disagree. Send them individually or keep the PDFs in your records folder as you go.
