The agreement

By downloading Invobis, creating an invoice, publishing a hosted link, or starting a subscription, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Invobis for a company, you confirm you can bind that company.

The Licensed Application End User License Agreement Apple shows at download still applies to the app binary. Where these terms add subscription, hosted-page and acceptable-use rules, they apply as well. Apple is not a party to the extra rules, and is not responsible for hosted invoices or Stripe payments.

What Invobis is

Invobis is invoicing software for freelancers and small businesses in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia. It helps you draft invoices, estimates and credit notes, number them, export PDFs, optionally publish a hosted page, optionally email a client, optionally take a card payment to your own Stripe account, and keep a local record of what is outstanding.

Invobis is not:

  • a bank, payment institution or escrow;
  • an accountant, tax adviser or law firm;
  • a marketplace or a party to the contract between you and your client;
  • a guarantee that a particular document will satisfy a tax office or auditor.

Recurring series copy an existing invoice into new drafts on a schedule. Drafts are not mailed and not published until you send them. Catch-up is capped so a year of silence does not empty itself into a client’s inbox.

We measure how the app itself is used — which onboarding step you reached, whether a purchase completed, whether an invoice was created, how it was sent, whether it was marked paid — so we can see what to fix. That measurement never includes the contents of your documents: no amounts, no client names, no line items. It is processed in the EU and described in full in our Privacy Policy.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher, and able to form a contract. Invobis is built for business invoicing, not for personal consumer-to-consumer payments.

Onboarding only offers the six markets above. Using a storefront we do not support, or issuing documents as if we did, is at your own risk. We may refuse or limit the service where law requires it.

Accounts

You can invoice without an Invobis account. Sign in with Apple is optional and exists so a hosted invoice can be owned by you, which is required for online payment.

You are responsible for the Apple ID you use. Signing out leaves local invoices on the device and leaves already-sent hosted links working. You can delete the Invobis account in the app — Settings → Account → Delete account — which permanently removes the auth user, your hosted documents and their PDFs, view events, and the Stripe mapping, and takes every published link offline. You can also request the same by email at hello@invobis.com. Neither cancels Apple billing — manage the subscription with Apple as described below.

Invobis Pro subscription

Access after onboarding is Invobis Pro, sold as auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record. Prices on the paywall come from StoreKit in your storefront’s currency. The US list prices we publish for orientation are $12.99 per month and $99.99 per year. Your confirmation sheet is the price that binds.

During signup, anyone who chooses the monthly plan is offered the yearly plan once at a lower price, $69.99 per year in the US. It is a separate product rather than a temporary discount: it carries the same 7-day trial, and it renews at that same lower price for as long as the subscription runs. It is shown once: declining it keeps the monthly plan and is not offered again.

ProductLengthIntroductory offer
Invobis Pro Monthly1 month, auto-renews7 days free for new subscribers
Invobis Pro Yearly1 year, auto-renews7 days free for new subscribers
Invobis Pro Yearly (one-time offer price)1 year, auto-renews7 days free for new subscribers

These products sit in one subscription group, so you hold one Pro entitlement at a time. During an active trial or paid period the app is the full product: no feature gates inside. If Pro lapses, the paywall returns. Restore Purchases re-binds an Apple ID that already holds the entitlement.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription auto-renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple may charge within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or the equivalent on the web at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

The 7-day free trial is an App Store introductory offer for new subscribers. Apple decides eligibility. If you already used the intro offer, the paywall will not promise another free week, and the resubscribe screen will not either.

Trials, renewal, cancellation, refunds

Billing and refunds go through Apple

Charges, invoices for the subscription, tax on the subscription, and refund requests are Apple’s. Request a refund from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com or the App Store). We cannot issue an App Store refund ourselves.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom consumers

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK you ordinarily have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content, that right ends once performance has begun, if you requested it and acknowledged that you would lose the right. Starting Invobis Pro (including a trial that unlocks the full app) is that performance. Apple’s purchase sheet is where that acknowledgement is collected. After that, refunds follow Apple’s policies and the mandatory consumer law that Apple, as seller, must honour.

This does not take away mandatory rights that cannot be waived, including those under EU consumer law, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, and equivalent rules in the Netherlands and Germany (including BGB provisions on consumer contracts).

Australia

If the Australian Consumer Law applies, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Subscription billing remains with Apple.

United States and Canada

Subscriptions renew until cancelled as described above. Refunds follow Apple’s terms and any non-waivable rights in your province or state.

Your invoices and your responsibility

You own the content you put into Invobis: client details, line items, tax treatment, logos, signatures, notes. You grant us a limited licence to host, transmit and display that content solely to provide the features you use (hosted page, PDF storage, email, payment status).

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of amounts, dates, tax rates and legal identifiers;
  • whether a document meets the invoice rules of your tax authority (the app’s country fields are assistance, not a filing or an opinion);
  • having a right to use client personal data you store or send;
  • not issuing, emailing or publishing content that is unlawful, misleading, or sent to people who should not receive it;
  • keeping your device, Apple ID and Stripe account under your control.

Issued invoices can be locked in the app so a number already sent is not silently rewritten. Credit notes exist so corrections stay auditable. Using those tools is your bookkeeping choice.

Hosted pages and email

A hosted link is as public as the people you give it to. Anyone with the token can read the page until you revoke it. Opening the page records a view for you (user-agent, not IP). We tell the recipient that on the page.

Email through Invobis is sent in your name, with your Reply-To, about a document you already published. You must only send to clients you are entitled to contact. We may refuse or rate-limit send if a provider or the law requires it, or if the pattern looks like spam or fraud. Share-sheet send uses your own Mail/Gmail account and never passes through our mail server.

We may take down a hosted page that appears to impersonate someone else, phish, or break these terms. Takedown is not a finding that you did anything wrong; it is how we keep the domain from becoming a weapon.

Client payments through Stripe

If you connect Stripe, card charges on a hosted invoice are created on your connected account. Funds go to you. Invobis never holds, delays or freezes client funds. Stripe’s terms, fees and KYC apply to you. Your client’s payment contract is with you, not with us.

A “payment sent” state on the hosted page means Checkout finished. The invoice is marked paid when Stripe confirms. Settlement timing, chargebacks and disputes are between you, your client and Stripe.

Acceptable use

Do not use Invobis to:

  • send invoices or reminders as a pretext for phishing or malware;
  • impersonate another business;
  • launder money, evade sanctions, or process payments you are not allowed to take;
  • probe, scrape or overload our APIs except through the app;
  • resell the service as if you were Invobis;
  • upload content you do not have the right to use.

We may suspend hosting, email or the account if we reasonably believe this section is broken.

Our intellectual property

The Invobis name, app, website, templates and design are ours (or our licensors’). These terms do not sell them to you. You may not copy the product, reverse engineer it except where a law says you may, or remove notices.

Feedback you send can be used to improve Invobis without owing you a fee.

No tax or legal advice

Tax labels, exemption sentences, identifier fields and “tax invoice” headings are researched helpers for the markets we ship. They can be wrong for your facts, out of date the day after a statute changes, or incomplete for a document type we do not support. You remain responsible for compliance. If you need advice, ask a professional licensed where you file.

The service is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted hosting, deliverability of every email, or that a particular client will pay. Where the law does not allow a disclaimer, that part does not apply to you.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that German, EU, UK, Australian or Canadian law does not allow to be excluded.

Subject to that: we are not liable for lost profits, lost data you failed to keep a copy of, or indirect loss; and our total liability arising out of Invobis in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Invobis Pro in that period (through Apple) and (b) EUR 50. Apple, not Invobis, billed those amounts; the cap still uses them as the measure of what the subscription was worth to you.

If you are a consumer, you keep every mandatory right in your country. In Australia this section is to be read subject to the Australian Consumer Law. In Germany it is to be read subject to statutory liability for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.

If your content causes a claim

If a third party claims that content you stored, published, emailed or charged for through Invobis infringes their rights or breaks the law, you will defend and indemnify Rashem Pandit / Invobis against that claim, including reasonable legal costs, except to the extent we caused it. This does not apply where consumer law forbids it.

Suspension and ending

You can stop using the app at any time. Cancel Pro with Apple to stop charges. We can suspend hosted pages, email or an account for breach, legal risk, or non-payment of the subscription as reported by Apple. We can stop offering Invobis with reasonable notice except where we must stop sooner (for example a provider or a law changes).

Surviving sections: your content ownership, acceptable use, IP, disclaimer, liability, indemnity, governing law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict of law rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Australia or Canada, you also keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may sue in the courts of that country. If you are using Invobis as a business, the courts of Germany have jurisdiction.

We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). (The EU’s online dispute resolution platform was discontinued in July 2025, so these terms no longer point you to it.)

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. For a material change that affects an existing subscriber, we will give notice in the app or by email where we have an address, before it applies, except where the change is required by law or Apple. If you do not agree, stop using Invobis and cancel Pro with Apple.
